Baptism
Baptism in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit makes us members of the Church and embodies our new life as followers of Jesus Christ.
What is a “sacrament”?
In the Anglican Church, a sacrament is an outward and visible sign of an inward, invisible grace. Grace comes to us through Jesus Christ, our Lord and Saviour, who transforms us as we grow in the knowledge and love of God.
Baptizing Your Child
When your children are baptized, you take a vow before God to nurture them in the Christian life and in a Christian faith community. If you are interested in exploring or making this parental commitment, please contact the Reverend.
Desiring Baptism for Yourself
Adults can also choose to be baptized. If you are interested in learning more about baptism, please contact the Reverend.
Confirmation
If you were baptized as a child, you can reaffirm your commitment to Jesus Christ at a later age in a service of confirmation. If you would like to learn more about the process and service of confirmation, please contact the Reverend.
Weddings
Couples wishing to be married here are asked to complete marriage preparation, which is an opportunity to grow spiritually as a couple. Contact the church office for more information about marriage preparation and wedding fees.
Funerals and Memorial Services
If you wish to hold a funeral or memorial service at St. George’s or Christ Church-St. Jude’s, please contact the Reverend or ask a funeral home to make the contact for you.
